Pete the beat is happiest laying down rock and funk beats to get crowds to their feet. He also adds subtle percussion to enhance the mood along with backing vocals.
Another immigrant to Yorkshire (from “dahn sarf”), he spent his initial months searching for local tea plantations until he discovered Yorkshire Tea isn’t a Protected Geographical Food.
Eclectic musical taste! Pete will try anything. If it works, great. If not...who cares? A folk singer at heart; lives on angst! Tries to sing songs he can believe in!
Favourite album: The Rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars. David Bowie
Grew up in Newcastle. If not watching Newcastle United I was listening to classic blues and rock guitarists like Blackmore, early Clapton, Peter Green, Gary Moore, Mark Knopfler etc. more recently influenced have included Steve Cropper and Brad Paisley.
Favourite albums- Machine Head, Deep Purple and Wish you were Here, Pink Floyd.
Favourite film. Roadhouse for the appearance of the Jeff Healey Band.
Tim is a multi instrumentalist who as well as playing keyboard has provided cover on bass.
Adding the groove to songs since I was 19 (well trying anyway).
Early influences were Paul McCartney, Pino Paladin and Bob Rabbit to name a few.
I love any song with a great hook that enables me to lock in with the drummer.
Vicky started as a choral singer from a young age and still enjoys singing a variety of sacred and secular music, especially if it's got good harmonies!
With an eclectic music taste, she loves anything from Frank Sinatra to Spice Girls to Evanescence, and will give any song a go as either lead or backing.
Her favourites for The Moses Turner Band include Walking on Sunshine, Torn and Baker Street.
